We took the new Subaru Crosstrek plug-in electric off- road to see if it had the same capabilities as other Dubarus.

So long as you keep momentum these things are absolute beasts. We have an orange one that joins us on the Illinois Gambler 500 and it’s so good at offroading it’s considered very much in the cheater class.

I live in Subaru central (PNW) and haven’t seen any of these yet. When we bought our current Subaru at the beginning of the year the guy at the dealership said there were some delays pushing out delivery dates significantly…has that been figured out yet?

Distribution of the PHEV is limited based on dealers that have been equipped to service them. I think they’re only in 10-13 states so far with certified dealers.

Yeah I find it hard to imagine Portland, OR of all places doesn’t have such a dealer...haven’t seen a single PHEV on the road or listed for sale out here (although I haven’t looked too recently).
